In Spring of next year, the new Shooting Star Casino is scheduled to open. The casino will be located Between Bagley and Ebro off of Highway 27 in Clearwater County. It is owned by the White Earth Nation.

During the construction phase of the project, the tribe is hopeful to provide jobs to Native American subcontractors.

Civil engineers will be at the casino site this week. Groundwork is set to begin in September. It is hopeful to have a contractor hired by then.

Near the middle of November, it is expected to have the footings and foundation completed. This will allow for construction to continue during the winter months.

The casino will be the highest paying employer for the area. When the casino opens, 40 new permanent jobs will be created.

Size of the casino and the total cost has not been released by the tribe.

The casino will operate a large amount of slot machines. As well as table games like Texas hold'em and black jack. There will also be a bar and grill.
