Grand Mound Historical Site
On the banks of the Rainy River stands the largest Indian burial mound in the Upper Midwest. A visitor center tells the story of those who built the mound in this northern environment. A self-guided trail leads through the old-growth forest to the site where an ancient people camped and brought their dead 2,000 years ago.
