Shooting Star Casino Hotel and Event Center is an Indian gaming resort located on Highway 59 in Mahnomen, Minnesota approximately 4 1/2 hours from the Twin Cities, and 70 minutes from Bemidji or Fargo.
Shooting Star Casino is an Indian gaming casino owned by the Whie Earth Nation, which also owns the Shooting Star Casino Bagley in Bagley, MN.
The White Earth Nation opened Shooting Star Casino in a temporary facility in 1991. A year later it moved into a permanent building. In 2001 Shooting Star was expanded to 145,300 square-feet at a cost of $30 million. It included a 15,000 sq-ft concert venue, a 386-room hotel and 3,000 sq-ft of meeting space.

The Shooting Star Casino Bagley opened on Wednesday. This is the second Shooting Star casino location. The casino is owned by the White Earth Ojibwe Tribe.
The new location has 170 slot machines. There is also a bar and grill restaurant. It is smaller than the original location at only 21,400 square feet.
A feasibility study was conducted in 2015 to find out if the new casino would be viable in the area. The tribe agreed to move forward on the project finding that the location had great market potential. November of that year the ground was broken.
71 new jobs were created by the casino.
Currently there is no event space or hotel at the Bagley location. However it is possible in the future. The expansion will be determined by requests from guests.

The new Shooting Star Casino is preparing to open. The scheduled opening is to take place at 10AM on Wednesday.
170 slot machines will be operation as well as a bar and grill.
The casino is located in between Bagley and Ebro along Clearwater County Highway 27.
71 new jobs have been created by the project.
Construction began on the casino November 2015.
Shooting Star Casino Bagley will be open Sunday to Thursday from 10AM to 2AM. On Friday and Saturday the casino will be open for 24 hours.

In Spring of next year, the new Shooting Star Casino is scheduled to open. The casino will be located Between Bagley and Ebro off of Highway 27 in Clearwater County. It is owned by the White Earth Nation.
During the construction phase of the project, the tribe is hopeful to provide jobs to Native American subcontractors.
Civil engineers will be at the casino site this week. Groundwork is set to begin in September. It is hopeful to have a contractor hired by then.
Near the middle of November, it is expected to have the footings and foundation completed. This will allow for construction to continue during the winter months.
The casino will be the highest paying employer for the area. When the casino opens, 40 new permanent jobs will be created.
Size of the casino and the total cost has not been released by the tribe.
The casino will operate a large amount of slot machines. As well as table games like Texas hold'em and black jack. There will also be a bar and grill.
