The collapsed section of the Rock Ohio Caesars casino is being demolished. The 60 x 60 foot second floor section that fell last week injured 13 construction workers.

An investigation into the collapse was conducted by the federal Occupational Safety and Health Administration. After the investigation was completed, permission to tear down the section was given by officials for the city. However, there is still an ongoing investigation. It was reported that this investigation could last for several months.

An official for the city stated that it was a steel beam that collapsed. This is what caused the second story floor to fall. The section will be demolished and then rebuilt by Messer Construction Co.

The Rock Ohio Caesars is working to stay on track to open spring time of next year.
