Even with some of WI's Native American tribes in support of the Kenosha Casino,
Governor Walker will not change his mind on allowing it.
The governor has stated in the past that the Kenosha Casino will not be approved
unless every tribe in the state gives their support. The Menominee wants to
build the casino. They have support from 8 of the 11 tribes. Governor Walker has
not changed his mind.
Supporters of the casino project state that the governor's stance on the issue
goes against the free market system rules for the state. However the governor
does not believe this since gaming is not considered part of the free market.
