THACKERVILLE, OK - Winstar World Casino's $3 million guaranteed "The
River" Poker Championship began with 1,450 players and ended Sunday with Jim Carroll, a Richardson Texas man, taking home $700,000 and a custom-made $20,000 bracelet.

"I knew I could win it!" Carroll said. "The staff was great, the tournament was well run and it all gave me a good feeling." Carroll's winning play was an all-in bluff against poker professional Young Cho of Enid, OK. "He's a better player than me," said Carroll. "So, I knew I had to change it up. I felt good about that hand."
