TULSA - Rain and bad weather have delayed the first phase of construction of the new Creek Nation Casino located just south of the existing casino at 81st Street and Riverside Drive in Tulsa. The grand opening will now be in January 2009.

The first phase is a $160 million expansion project to build a new casino and parking structure. The second phase is still in the planning stages and will consist of a hotel and convention center.

The construction of the casino and parking structure was originally scheduled for completion in September. The schedule now is December followed by one month to install the slot machines and add finishing touches.

FEATURES:

272,000 square-foot casino
2,800 slot machines
480-seat buffet and a lounge area
The new casino will be one of the largest in Oklahoma.
