Oklahoma tribes will spend $1 billions to expand their casinos and hotels in
2008. Here is a summary of key expansion projects:
CHEROKEE NATION
$270 million in total expansion projects include:
$125 million expansion of Catoosa Cherokee Casino
$30 million to add a hotel at West Siloam Springs
CHICKASAW NATION
WinStar Casinos will increase floor space from 190,000 square feet to 300,000
square feet and increase slot machines from 2,100 t0 6,000. The expanded casino
and a new convention center will open in the fall 2008. An 11-story hotel will
be finished in 2009.
CHOCTAW NATION
Choctaw Casino in Durant is adding 3,000 slot machines.
MUSCOGEE (CREEK) NATION
The Creek Nation Casino in Tulsa will complete its $200 million casino expansion
project in the fall 2008.
OSAGE NATION
The Osage are building a new $14 million casino in Ponca City.

QUAPAW NATION
This tribe is building a new $200 million casino north of Interstate 44 in the far northeast corner of Ottawa County.
It will include a 12-story hotel, lounge, valet parking and
restaurant.
