Seventeen applications were submitted for the four available casino licenses. The New York State Gaming Commission has released details of the proposed casino projects.
One of the proposed casinos is Lago Resort and Casino. It would be located in Seneca County near Exit 41.
The casino would cost $425 million to build. 2,000 slot machines and 85 gaming tables would be in operations.
Dining options include at least three venues. There would be a farmer's market buffet. A New York pizza stand. As well as a restaurant specializing in steaks and seafood.
Plans also include a large 40,000 square foot pool that would accommodate 900 visitors.
It is estimated that the casino would earn in the first year $263 million in gaming revenues. The casino would open within 14 months from start of construction.
