BUFFALO - The Seneca Nation of Indians celebrated the opening of their 9 million dollar expansion of the temporary Buffalo Creek Casino in downtown Buffalo yesterday. The expansion included an increase in total slot machines to 445.
Corporation chairman Kevin Seneca commented on hopes to build a permanent casino someday. "It's still part of the plans...the gaming environment's changing drastically...our market share that we had at one time is starting to shrink a little bit so we had to reinvent our facilities."
The Seneca have delayed construction of the 333-million dollar permanent casino until the economy improves.
