Atlantic City's eight remaining casinos are reporting higher revenues. It is believed that it may be a result of less competition from a year ago.

A report was recently released showing that in comparison to January 2014, revenues have increased 19 percent.

$197.5 million was reported by the eight casinos for last month.

When including the four casinos that closed last year, revenue would have been 1 percent higher from the previous year.

In 2014, four of the city's casinos closed.
