Renovations for the Ojibwa Casinos have been approved. From the time the casinos
opened, they have never undergone any updates. The casinos are located in
Marquette and Baraga.
The Ojibwa Casino Marquette will spend $33.5 million on the renovations. Plans
include a hotel with 80 guest rooms. Three new branded restaurants will be
added. There will be a new gaming area with 500 slot machines. Also new
conference and event centers.
On December 6 at 11AM, the project will break ground.
The Ojibwa Casino Baraga will spend $6.5 million on renovations.
The money will be used to upgrade infrastructure and expand the current casino
floor.
Groundbreaking is scheduled to take place at 10AM on December 7.
The project at both casino locations is expected to be complete by the end of
next year.
