A casino expansion is about to take place into Michigan's southwestern section.
On Wednesday an announcement was made by the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi Indians that they will expand their 27,000 square foot casino an additional 2,700 square feet. The addition will add two more game tables and 70 more slot machines.
Currently there are five gaming tables and 300 slot machines.
Members of the Four Winds Casinos' player loyalty program with Copper status will also have access to 70 new parking spaces and an exclusive entrance.
The current casino will remain open during the construction. The expansion is scheduled to begin in the next few months and be completed by the end of this year.
