The Saulte Ste. Marie Chippewa Indian tribe is making progress on moving forward
with plans to build two new casinos.
One of the proposed casinos would be located near the Detroit Metro Airport in
Romulus. The other would be located in Lansing. The Lansing casino would be
125,000 square feet.
Applications were sent yesterday to the U.S. Department of the Interior to put
the land into trust for the tribe. The approval will be needed in order for the
casino plans to continue further.
Return to Michigan Casinos.
