The Massachusetts Gaming Commission is being sued by a Suffolk Downs workers union and the city of Revere. The lawsuit is related to the commission giving Wynn Resorts the Boston-area gaming license.

The lawsuit was filed on Thursday stating that Wynn was given an unfair advantage by the gaming commission. The decision to give Wynn the license was in violation of the gaming law.

Suffolk Downs is at risk of closing without the casino license. If that happens, 145 people will loose their jobs. The workers union has joined in the lawsuit in order to help protect the workers.

The Mohegan Sun proposed the casino at Suffolk Downs.
