The Seminole Tribe of Florida has been instructed by the State of Florida to stop operation of blackjack table games at the tribal casinos.

On Friday an announcement was made that a Tampa federal court had received a lawsuit filing from the state to stop the operation of table games at the Seminole casinos. The state does not have jurisdiction over tribal land.

This week was the deadline for the Seminoles to end the operation blackjack. However they also filed a lawsuit in order to continue their games.

The tribe believes that while the lawsuit is pending, they will still be allowed to operate the game.
