MIAMI - A groundbreaking ceremony was held this week for the first-ever casino
in Miami-Dade County, Florida. Churchill Downs Inc. announced that construction
has begun on the new 104,000-square-foot gambling site with Calder Race Course.
Completion is expected in early 2010. The plan is to open the casino before the
2010 Super Bowl scheduled in nearby LandShark Stadium.
