Ground has been broken on the Pechanga Resort & Casino's expanded RV park. Plans include renovations to the pool, areas for barbecues and pets, and 41 new spaces will be added.
During most weekends the current RV park had been filled to capacity. The changes to the park was necessary to meet the demand.
At the RV park, there will also be two Chairman Sites. These sites will be 2,400 square feet. They will have a pergola, large patio, a fire pit, table and chairs, and their own barbecue area. The The 1,000 square foot Presidential Sites will create 9 new areas. Buddy sites will share an oversized patio and pergola. There will be 22 of this type of site.
The cost to guests will begin at $50 a day.
While the RV park construction continues, the Pechanga Resort & Casino has also been adding more hotel rooms. The hotel will double the amount of guest rooms to total 1,090 rooms. This will make it California's largest hotel. 750 new jobs have been created by the expanded hotel.
The project is scheduled to be completed by December.
