PRESS RELEASE
September 10, 2014
Viejas Casino & Resort, Southern California's premier Four-Diamond gaming,
dining and entertainment destination, will aim to set two new Guinness World
Records this month, attempting the Longest Sparkler Relay and the Longest Chain
of Fireworks!
The two World Record attempts cap off a big 23rd Anniversary celebration that
takes place poolside at the Viejas Hotel at 6 p.m. on Friday, September 12th. If
successful, they would mark the 6th Guinness World Record set by Viejas Casino &
Resort.
An official adjudicator from the Guinness organization will fly in to witness
the two attempts and certify whether they were successful.
Viejas General Manager Chris Kelley said, "Viejas Casino & Resort has always
been a leader in gaming and entertainment. Our success is due to the dedication
and loyalty of our guests and team members, so we are excited to invite them to
join us as we set two new World Records, and cap off 23 years of fun and
excitement with a bang!"
Along with witnessing two World Record attempts, guests visiting Viejas during
the anniversary weekend can also participate in a hot seat promotion on
September 12th with $24,000 in prizes, a Mercedes C250 Coupe drawing at 9 p.m.
on September 13th, and a Sunday Funday promotion on September 14th where all V
Club Card holders will receive $10 in gaming credits.
Return to California Casinos.
