Red Hawk Casino's poker room awarded a Bad Beat Jackpot to eight lucky poker
room guests on Sunday, Feb. 12. The table shared a $38,406 payout.
A loyal poker room player from Placerville, Calif., had four threes and thought
he had a winning hand, but then another Rewards Club member from Stockton,
Calif., drew a Straight Flush and beat him. This qualified the table for Red
Hawk's Bad Beat jackpot of $38,406. The "losing" hand earned the player from
Stockton the top payout of $19,204; the Rewards Club member from Placerville
received $9,602, while the six remaining players at the table each walked away
with $1,600. A Bad Beat Jackpot is paid when a normally "unbeatable" hand is
played, but loses to an even stronger hand.
The 70-seat poker room is located on the non-smoking level at Red Hawk Casino.
It features Texas Hold ‘em limit and no-limit style games with stakes that
accommodate all levels of play. The poker room includes several flat screen TVs
and tableside dining.
Red Hawk Casino hosts Texas Hold ‘em tournaments daily at 10 a.m. and every
Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Additionally, No Limit Texas
Hold ‘em Bounty Tournaments are held every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
