The Apache Sky Casino is scheduled to be opened by the middle of January next
year. However, it may open in December instead. The casino is owned by the San
Carlos Apache Nation and is located on the tribe's southern section of their
reservation. The total area for the casino property is 170 acres.
This will be the second casino for the tribe. The first is the Apache Gold
Casino Resort, located in San Carlos.
The casino will open in a 15,000 square-foot temporary building to start. When
the permanent building is finished, it will resemble the Apache Gold.
Plans for the Apache Sky Casino were announced in 2014. In February ground was
