Construction is moving forward on The Pascua Yaqui's newest project. The new Casino del Sol Hotel, Spa and Conference Center will be 10 stories tall when completed. Originally estimated to cost $120 million. Now is expected to be under budget and ahead of schedule.

The hope for the casino is to make this an entertainment destination unlike any other in the area. The new hotel will offer over 200 guest rooms, a lobby lounge, pool, spa, gym, and three restaurants. There will also be a 50,000 square foot conference center. As well as a 1,100 vehicle parking garage. Plans also include an outdoor venue. Something that will be unique compared to other Tucson resorts. In the future, the casino will be adding additional guest rooms, retail space, and a golf course.

500 jobs have been created for the construction of this project. About half of these positions went to members of the Pascua Yaqui Tribe. When the construction is completed, 300 more jobs will be added. These will be for positions in the resort and will be permanent.
Grand opening is scheduled for November 11, 2011
