Beloit Casino Project Update
October 15, 2021

Preliminary work on the Beloit casino site is about to start while at the same time the Ho-Chunk Nation is waiting for the U.S. Bureau of Indian Affairs to transfer the land into federal trust so that full-scale construction can begin.
Until then a hired contractor will proceed with geotechnical soil borings around the site to determine the soil structure under the surface. The soil findings are needed before finishing the final design plans for the casino.
The U.S. Department of Interior approved the Beloit casino project in April 2020 however, the transfer of the 70-acre site into federal trust is still pending. The plan was also approved by Gov. Tony Evers last March.
