SANTA YSABEL RESORT AND CASINO

Santa Ysabel, California 92070
The Santa Ysabel Casino discontinued business and closed permanently Feb. 3, 2014. The casino originally opened in April 2007. It was located on a hill a few miles south of the intersection of state Routes 76 and 79, which is relatively remote from the large population centers. Its location and competition from larger Indian casinos in the area may have doomed the casino from the beginning. In the first 3 years the casino lost $24 million. In 2012 the tribe filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy but that was denied by the court.Gaming
