The California Grand Casino is the oldest operating poker room in the world according to Card Player Magazine. It opened in 1854 as the Woodford Hotel and Saloon and later changed its name to California Grand Casino in 1979. In 2009 the casino moved across the street to its new and current facility.

The historic California Grand Casino is located in Mt. Diablo Valley in the
San Francisco Bay Area. Due east from San Francisco, it's only about a 40-minute
drive from the City (during non-rush hour traffic). It is located right off
Highway 680 and immediately adjacent to the City of Concord.
