St. Croix Chippewa secure funding for new Danbury casino

DANBURY, WI - The St. Croix Chippewa of Wisconsin announced the signing of a
$55 million loan package from Heartland Business Bank of Green Bay to complete a new casino in Danbury.

The casino is expected to open by July 1 and operate more than 400 slots and
12 table games. It will include a restaurant, buffet, deli, lounge, convention center and a 50-room hotel.

After the signing of loan papers on March 11, St. Croix Tribal Chairman Lewis Taylor said "We need to show that we are progressive and competitive as a tribe and today is the start of that".
