Pennsylvania’s casinos had a successful month in December. The state was able to earn over $108.3 million from gaming taxes. Gaming revenues had risen to 14%. Harrah's Chester Casino and Racetrack saw revenue reach 3.55%. SugarHouse Casino had 63.14%. An increase of 11.5% was made from slot machines at Parx. Slots also helped the Bensalem casino earn $32 million. Last year the casino had earned $28.7 million. Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board believes the earnings were due to marketing the variety of table games, casinos amenities, and good weather were all reasons for a successful month.
