The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland celebrated it's grand opening on Monday night. The doors opened to the public at 9:30Pm.

The new casino was built in a former historic department store building. At a cost of $350 million the 300,000 square foot gaming facility was transformed. Guests to the casino will be able t enjoy a poker room with 30 tables, 63 gaming tables, and 2,100 slot machines.

Ohio passed the state gaming bill in 2009. The passing allowed for four casinos to be built. The Horseshoe Casino Cleveland was the first to open. On May 29 the Hollywood Casino Toledo is scheduled to open. This fall the Hollywood Casino Columbus will open. In 2013 the final approved casino, Horseshoe Casino Cincinnati, will open.

It is estimated that $650 million will be earned from gaming revenue. 33% of the revenue will be paid to the state.
