Missouri approves new uses for casino chips
April 26, 2010
Currently state law says it is a misdemeanor to use casino
gambling chips for anything other than bet placing and tipping casino workers.
However a new bill is going to Governor Jay Nixon.
The new bill will allow for casino chips to be used in another way. It will
allow casino patrons to use them to purchase food and drinks. Supporters of the
new legislation believe this will give Missouri casinos an edge on competition
from other states.
The House voted in favor 131-23 votes on Monday. It was passed by the Senate
Return to Missouri Casinos.
