AUGUSTA, ME - A bill to authorize 400 slot machines for the Penobscot Nation will be voted on by House lawmakers. The bill was carried over from last session to allow slot machines on Indian Island in Old Town. Under its provisions the state will receive a percentage of the slot revenues and allocate portions to education needs, gambling addiction services, and to other Maine tribes.
