Smoking Ban Hearing scheduled for Wednesday
January 07, 2011
On Wednesday, the Indiana House Health Committee will listen to testimony on a
proposed state wide smoking ban.
The legislation is for House Bill 1018. It would eliminate smoking in all places
of work. This includes restaurants, and bars. As well as smoking at casinos.
It is expected that the committee will consider some exceptions to the bill.
Including the continuation of smoking at casinos.
Previously, the House had passed smoking bans. However the bills were never
approved by the senate.
The meeting will take place in the House chamber, after the House adjourns, on
Wednesday.
Return to Indiana Casinos.
