New Horseshoe Casino construction is on scheduleHAMMOND, IN - Rick Mazer, Indiana regional president and general manager of Horseshoe Casino Hammond, says the $485 million expansion of the Horseshoe casino is ahead of the original schedule for early fall. The new opening target of August is on schedule at this time. Mazer is pleased with the progress and added "The level of design is comparable to any of the finest casinos in Las Vegas.” The Hammond Marina will reopen May 1st. It was closed last season as part of the construction project. Since then the harbor was dredged and its sand was used to replenish Lakefront Beach. The trail through the bird sanctuary that wraps the property was also improved with $250,000 in project funds. Return to Indiana Casinos. |
