February 9, 2009 FORT HALL, ID – The Fort Hall Business Council is re-evaluating plans to build a $90-million casino, convention center, hotel, golf course and water park. It would be located near the existing Fort Hall Casino. The Council will meet February 17th to consider the current economic downturn and whether they should postpone the project. They have already secured $35 million in financing, but there appears to be growing concern about taking on higher debt at this time. Council spokeswoman Liberty Toledo said the casino resort remains the ultimate goal, but the schedule may change from the previous plan. Return to Idaho Casinos. |
