The Lac Courte Oreilles Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians and Gov. Tony Evers amended the tribe's gaming compact last week to allow sports betting and other forms of event wagering at Sevenwinds Casino. The tribe can also operate mobile sports betting on their reservation. The agreement must now be approved by the U.S. Interior Department within the next 45 days.
The Lac Courte Oreilles Tribe is the fourth in Wisconsin to add sports betting to their gaming compact. The other three are the Oneida Nation, the St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin, and the Forest County Potawatomi.
The Oneida Nation owns the Irene Moore Activity Center In Green Bay, Oneida Casino Main-Airport in Green Bay, Oneida Casino W. Mason in Green Bay, Oneida One-Stop Packerland in Green Bay, and Oneida Casino Travel Center in Pulaski, Wisconsin.
The St. Croix Chippewa Indians of Wisconsin own St. Croix Casino Hertel in Webster, St. Croix Casino Danbury in Danbury. and St. Croix Casino Turtle Lake in Turtle Lake, Wisconsin.
The Forest County Potawatomi own Potawatomi Carter Casino Hotel in Wabeno, and Potawatomi Casino Hotel in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
