Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison is the only Wisconsin casino dedicated to Class II gaming (where players win against other players rather than against the casino). It was previously named Dejope Bingo & Entertainment, which opened in July 1999 with high-stake paper bingo games. After renovation it re-opened as Dejope Gaming on Dec. 31, 2006 and introduced 1,100 bingo slot machines. In 2010 it became the Ho-Chunk Gaming Madison, as part of a rebranding project of all Ho-Chunk casinos.

Ho-chunk Gaming Madison is preparing to present new plans to city officials on Feb. 13 that will expand the casino and add a hotel, conference room and a history center.
The casino will be expanded by 145,000 square feet. The hotel will have 150 to 200 rooms. The conference center will be 115,000 square feet and also serve as an entertainment center.
The project must be approved by the city and by the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislature. Construction could start as soon as 2020.
