Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Coos Bay

Ko-Kwel Casino Resort IN Coos Bay is a Class III gaming casino featuring 734 slot machines and a smoke-free slots room. There are 13 table games including blackjack, roulette, three card poker, Spanish 21, and fortune pai gow.

The casino originally opened as The Mill Casino on May 15, 1995. In 2017 the tribe added a hotel tower with 92 rooms including six suites. In MY 2025 THE NAME WAS CHANGED TO Ko-Kwel Casino Resort.

In May 2024 the Coquille Indian Tribe was licensed by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) to produce and sale liquor on its tribal land in North Bend, OR. The distillery will be built atKo-Kwel Casino Resort Coos Bay.

The construction timline and the opening date has not been announced. HThe following are the first artist renderings of the distillery project.

The Coquille Tribe of Oregon renamed both of its tribal-gaming casinos this week to strengthen the tribe's identity and brand as a casino operator and hospitality host. On Monday, May 19, 2025, the Mill Casino Hotel and RV Park in North Bend was officially renamed the Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Coos Bay.

The renaming announcement was presented during the celebration events for The Mill's 30th anniversary. Four days later a similar announcement was made today May 22, 2025 to officially rename the Medford casino the Ko-Kwel Casino Resort Medford.

The Mill Casino Plans Distillery

The Coquille Indian Tribe has been licensed by the Oregon Liquor and Cannabis Commission (OLCC) to establish a distillery at The Mill Casino Hotel and RV Park in North Bend. The Coquille will be the first and only tribe in the state to produce and sale liquor on its land.

The distillery at The Mill Casino Hotel will produce a variety of liquor products to serve customers at its restaurants and bars and to sell in its retail shops.

Additional information about the distillery plans is not available at this time. No construction dates nor grand opening date been announced.

The Mill Casino reopens today May 18

May 18, 2020

The Mill Casino celebrated a Grand Reopening today with limited hours, limited facilities, a reconfigured gaming floor and a "Safe Play Plan" to protect guests and workers against the spread of COVID-19.

The reopening announcement was posted on The Mill Casino website and included these details about its "Safe Play Plan":

ENTRY
Entry into the casino will be through the Casino Valet and Hotel Entrances Only. Exiting will be through the Main Casino Doors. Prior to entering, all guests will be asked a series of questions per CDC guidelines, will have their temperature monitored and will be provided a mask. While all employees are required to wear masks, guests may make their own decisions regarding masks.

HOURS & CAPACITY
Sunday - Thursday: 9 AM to 10 PM
Friday & Saturday: 9 AM - Midnight
Casino Floor Occupancy will be restricted to 300 guests. Should we reach capacity, guests will enter through the Salmon Room where they can comfortably sit to wait for entry onto the casino floor.

GAMING FLOOR
To ensure social distancing protocols can be followed, the gaming floor has been reconfigured and some machines have been removed.Table Games will not be open at this time. Limited sports betting is available based on the games available to wager on.

RESTAURANTS
Timbers Cafe will be the only restaurant open for the time being and will be providing to go food only. Social distance seating is available in Warehouse 101 and Saw Blade Buffet. The Casino Floor Bar will be open, last call will be 30 minutes prior to closing.
