Hard Rock Las Vegas Plans Three-Venue Entertainment Lineup for 2027 Resort Launch
LAS VEGAS, NV - August 16, 2026
Hard Rock Las Vegas is positioning itself as one of the Strip's most entertainment-dense resorts, with three distinct venues planned as part of its redevelopment of the former Mirage property. County filings and project documents show a lineup that includes the new 2,000-seat West Theater arena, the 5,000-seat Hard Rock Live venue, and a repurposed former Mirage Theater-each designed to support concerts, residencies, and specialty programming when the resort opens in late 2027.
Three-Venue Strategy Designed for Maximum Programming Flexibility
Hard Rock's entertainment plan reflects a multi-tiered approach: one large venue for headliners, one mid-size arena for touring acts and residencies, and one intimate theater for specialty shows. This structure mirrors Hard Rock's strategy in other markets-offering multiple rooms to keep the resort's nightly calendar full.
1. West Theater Arena - 2,000 seats, five stories, new construction
County documents describe the West Theater as a 179,000-square-foot venue built on the resort's west side. The project includes:
- 61,000 sq ft auditorium
- 67,465 sq ft pre-function and backstage areas
- 37,940 sq ft back-of-house support
- 12,778 sq ft technical level
- Second-floor karaoke lounge
The venue connects directly to an interior promenade and is designed for concerts, mid-tier residencies, and special events. The Paradise Town Advisory Board is scheduled to review the proposal before it moves to the Clark County Commission for final approval.
2. Hard Rock Live - 5,000-seat flagship venue
Announced earlier in the redevelopment timeline, Hard Rock Live replaces The Beatles Love theater. This is the resort's largest venue, intended for major touring artists, large-format residencies, and premium ticketed events. Its size places it between traditional Strip theaters and full-scale arenas, giving Hard Rock a competitive edge for mid-to-large bookings.
3. Former Mirage Theater - Reimagined for a new concept
Hard Rock is repurposing the former Mirage Theater for a yet-to-be-announced entertainment concept. This venue will serve as the resort's intimate performance space, ideal for comedy residencies, specialty productions, or long-running theatrical shows
Part of the Larger Guitar Hotel Redevelopment
All three venues are integrated into Hard Rock's transformation of the former Mirage site, anchored by the 42-story Guitar Hotel tower rising more than 600 feet above the Strip. The resort's redevelopment includes expanded gaming, new restaurants, and upgraded event spaces, with a targeted opening in late 2027.
