Creek Nation Travel Plaza Coweta

The Muscogee Creek Nation (MCN) plan to build a travel plaza with a small casino in Coweta, Oklahoma. A 35-acre site for construction was purchased by the tribe at the southeast corner of 131st and Highway 51. Muscogee Nation Gaming Enterprises has negotiated a partnership with River Spirit Casino Resort and I-5 Design-Build, Inc. to develop and build the project.

Creek Nation Plans Travel Plaza in Coweta

The Muscogee Creek Nation (MCN) plans to build a travel plaza and casino in Coweta, Oklahoma. The location will be on the southeast corner of 131st and Highway 51. The construction timeframe has not been announced.

Wagoner County officials announced last week the tribe had purchased the land. The Coweta city manager added this statement:

"The City of Coweta is aware the Muscogee (Creek) Nation has purchased land located at 131st and Highway 51 in Coweta, land that has been vacant for a long time. We welcome new economic development within Coweta that complies with all applicable land use regulations and requirements. The Muscogee (Creek) Nation has been a valued community partner, and we anticipate that the Nation will continue to invest in Coweta and in Coweta's future."
