The Heights Casino

Overview

The Heights Casino is on the scenic Northern California coastline about 23 miles north or Eureka, California. The location is 5 minutes off the 101 in Trinidad. The 50,000-square-foot casino features slot machines, blackjack, bingo, three restaurants, a lounge with live entertainment, and an RV park.

The Heights Casino was originally named the The Heights Casino when it first opened in 1995. The casino officially changed its name to The Heights Casino on December 15, 2021.

In October 2018, the tribe announced plans to add a Hyatt Place Hotel and expand the surrounding resort district with new hospitality and infrastructure projects. These upgrades will position The Heights Casino as the entertainment anchor of a growing coastal tourism hub along California's North Coast.

The casino sits just south of Trinidad, California, perched above Scenic Drive with direct views of the Pacific.Its proximity to Trinidad Harbor and Highway 101 makes it a convenient stop for regional travelers and coastalvisitors.

Hyatt Place Hotel (Adjacent to Casino)

The Trinidad Rancheria is advancing a new Hyatt Place hotel directly adjacent to The Heights Casino.Planned as a five-story, approximately 100-room property, the hotel will expand the resort footprint andprovide modern lodging for casino guests, coastal visitors, and regional travelers.

Fueling Station Project

A fueling station near the casino is planned to restart in coordination with hotel construction. The stationwill serve casino patrons, hotel guests, and local traffic along Scenic Drive, adding convenience and supportingthe broader resort area.

Harbor & Waterfront Improvements

As part of its long-term economic development strategy, the Trinidad Rancheria is pursuing upgrades aroundTrinidad Harbor. These improvements aim to strengthen coastal tourism, visitor services, and infrastructure,with The Heights Casino remaining the entertainment anchor for the region.

Note: The Tribe has not announced any expansion of the casino gaming floor. Current developmentfocuses on surrounding resort and infrastructure projects.
