Marijuana is illegal for recreational use in Connecticut, however medical use is legal. Selling any amount of marijuana is a felony punishable by 7 years in prison and a $25,000 fine.

Federally-Recognized Tribes

Only two Connecticut tribes are officially recognized by the federal government. They are the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation, which owns Foxwoods Resort Casino, and the Mohegan Tribe, which owns the Mohegan Sun.

There are other American Indian tribes living in Connecticut that do not have federal recognition.
