Two Kings Casino Construction Started One Year Ago Today!

One year ago today, Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort held a groundbreaking ceremony June 7, 2024 to begin construction of a full-scale, permanent casino to replace its temporary casino, which has operated at 538 Kings Mountain Blvd in Kings Mountain since July 21, 2021.

The new casino is phase one of a two-phase construction project to build a 2 million square foot casino resort and entertainment destination. The new Two Kings casino will be inside a multi-story casino building with an introductory casino on the first floor that will open in Spring 2026. This first-floor casino will feature 1,336 slots, 22 table games and a sportsbook. The second phase of construction will expand the casino up to the top floor and add a connecting hotel with 385 guest rooms and suites. The final casino will feature 4,300 slot machines and 100 table games. No opening dates have been announced for the second phase.
