GEYSERVILLE, Calif. June 8, 2026 - Construction on Caesars Republic Sonoma County continues to move forward following the August 2, 2025 groundbreaking that began the full transformation of River Rock Casino into a $300 million integrated resort. The project, developed by the Dry Creek Rancheria Band of Pomo Indians in partnership with Caesars Entertainment, remains on schedule for a Summer 2027 opening.
The redevelopment is a complete rebuild of the existing property. Crews are working on a new casino floor with more than 1,000 slot machines and 28 table games, along with a 100-room hotel, luxury spa, pool, and fitness center. Interior build-out is underway on several guest areas and dining venues.
Project financing is fully secured, with Citizens serving as the lead financing partner and Gaming and Leisure Properties, Inc. (GLPI) providing real estate financing. No public reports have indicated construction delays or changes to the original schedule.
The resort will introduce multiple new dining concepts, including a steakhouse, upscale cafe, Asian restaurant, quick-service venue, sports bar, and a wine bar with an outdoor deck overlooking Alexander Valley. Tribal leaders describe the project as a major step forward for the tribe's gaming and hospitality enterprise in Sonoma County.
With steady construction progress, secured financing, and an unchanged opening window, Caesars Republic Sonoma County remains on track to welcome guests in Summer 2027, adding a new luxury resort destination to Northern California wine country.
