The Emerald Queen Casino in Fife opened December 13, 2004. The casino is one of three owned by the Puyallup Tribe of Indians. The other two casinos are the new Emerald Queen Casino in Tacoma and BJ's Bingo & Gaming in Fife.

Amazon will open sorting center on Puyallup land

October 23, 2021

The Puyallup Tribe announced this week that Amazon will build a 520,000-square-foot sorting center on 41 acres of Puyallup land in Fife. The Amazon center will receive packages from warehouses and sort them by destination for delivery. The location is 7449 45th St. Ct. E, Fife, WA.

The Amazon partnership is another effort by the Puyallup Tribe to diversify its income investments. The new Amazon facility is expected to hire 500 workers and begin operation in a few months.

Amazon offers new hires an average starting wage of $18 with an additional $3,000 sign-on bonus and $100 for a COVID-19 vaccination.

Emerald Queen Casino in Fife reopens today May 18

May 18, 2020

The Puyallup Tribe reopened the Emerald Queen Casino in Fife this morning at 10 AM after weeks of closure to prevent the spread of COVID-19. For the health and safety of guests and employees, a temperature check is required upon entry, gaming machines are spaced for social distancing and capacity is reduced to 30%. Full capacity is 12,000 guests. Guests are expected to wear personal masks.

Paradise Deli is open for dining. All other food venues are temporarily closed. The hotel remains temporarily closed.

The new Emerald Queen Casino under construction in Tacoma will open in early June.
