A fifth Desert Diamond Casino is planned and authorized by the state for construction at a 110-acre site located at the southeast corner of Loop 303 and Northern Parkway. The land was part of a pre-annexation development agreement by the City of Glendale since 2012, however, the Glendale City Council terminated the agreement in early 2021 to allow the Tohono O'odham Nation to build their new casino.
The Tohono O'odham Nation owns three existing casinos: Desert Diamond Casino West Valley in Glendale, AZ, Desert Diamond Casino Sahuarita in Sahuarita, AZ, Desert Diamond Casino Tucson in Tucson, AZ, and Desert Diamond Casino Why in Why, AZ.
