The new casino location will be 270 acres of reservation land on the northeast corner of Loop 101 and Loop 202 about 3.5 miles southeast of Casino Arizona. The site is currently used for salt and rock mining, which will end next March 2026 due to depletion of resources. About 122 acres will be designated for the new casino, and the remaining 148 acres will be used for commercial development, such as potential hotels, retail centers, restaurants, and entertainment venues.
The tribe wants to know how much investment interest may exist for this commercial development opportunity, and this week released a Request for Interest (RFI) to gather inputs from potential investors.
"The proposed large-scale gaming facility presents multiple opportunities for establishing complementary uses, including hospitality, food and beverage, entertainment venues, and retail establishments, among others. Public questions are due November 26, 2025, and responses to the questions will be issued January 30, 2026. A Request for Proposals (RFP) will follow sometime in March to collect proposals and select a development team.
