Catawba Two Kings Resort Construction | Update Oct. 2025
Construction of the Catawba Two Kings Casino Resort celebrated a major milestone in September when the casino's steel framework reached its full vertical height as a six-story structure. At the same time the hotel's framework completed the first ten levels of its 24-floor structure. The progress has been about one floor per week.
The Catawba Nation and the general contractor confirmed the construction is progressing and remains on schedule in a statement released Sept. 18th.
The first phase of construction will complete the initial casino next spring. That casino will open on the ground floor and host 350 slot machines, 20 table games, sports betting kiosks, a restaurant and a bar. The next three levels will provide parking spaces for 2,700 vehicles. The fourth level will be administrative space and dedicated to back-of-house operations.
The second phase will open in stages during 2027. This will include the main casino, the adjacent hotel, and the final resort amenities. The main casino will be on the top floor above the initial casino and will feature 4,300 slot machines, 100 table games, 11 dining venues, 11 bars, and a players' lounge.
