Overview
The Tribe consists of approximately 4,300 enrolled members and governs six reservations across Florida. It provides services in housing, health, education, cultural preservation, and economic development. The Tribe is one of the most economically successful tribal nations in the United States.
Membership
Members descend from the Seminole people who resisted forced removal during the 19th century and remained in Florida. The Tribe reorganized under the Indian Reorganization Act in 1957.

Hard Rock International Ownership
The Seminole Tribe purchased Hard Rock International in 2007 for $965 million, becoming the first tribal nation to own a major global brand. Hard Rock now includes more than 300 locations in nearly 80 countries, including hotels, casinos, cafes, and Hard Rock Live venues.
The Tribe also owns the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas project, which will replace The Mirage with a new guitar-shaped tower. Hard Rock generates billions in annual revenue and is the Tribe's largest economic engine.

Sports Betting
Under the 2021 Florida-Seminole Compact, the Tribe operates statewide sports betting through Hard Rock Bet. The compact includes a 30-year agreement with significant revenue sharing to the State of Florida.
Brief History
The Seminole people have lived in Florida for centuries. After surviving the Seminole Wars, they maintained independence in the Everglades. The Tribe became federally recognized in 1957 and opened one of the first high-stakes tribal bingo halls in 1979, helping shape the future of tribal gaming nationwide.
