The medical or recreational use of cannabis is illegal in Texas. The one exception is low-THC CBD oil is allowed for treatment of epilepsy.
There are three federally-recognized tribes in Texas. The DOJ marijuana policy on tribal reservations applies to these Texas tribes. Each is federally recognized as sovereign by the Bureau of Indian Affairs in the U.S. Interior Department.
