On Tuesday plans were announced that an additional hotel tower will be added to the Potawatomi Hotel & Casino. The new tower will have 119 guest rooms.

The original hotel tower opened three years ago. It has 381 guest rooms.

If the proposed $80 million project is approved by the city, construction could begin this year. Completion could be as early as 2019.

In addition to the hotel guest rooms and suites, additional space will added for meetings and a spa.

50 jobs for the new hotel tower will be created. Currently the hotel casino employees 2,700 people.
