$153 million expansion projects will be taking place at three Ho-Chunk Gaming locations. Ground breaking ceremonies have taken place for the sites and the construction is under way.

The last of the ground break ceremonies took place on Friday at Ho-Chunk Gaming Black River Falls location.

A hotel with 120 guest rooms will be built at the Black River Falls site. There are also plans for a new entry and the casino gaming floor will be redesigned. An area for high limit gaming and 200 more slots will be added. A parking lot will be added. The buffet will be remodeled and add more seats.

While construction is taking place, all three casinos will remain open with their normal operating hours.

All three projects at Wittenberg, Wisconsin Dells, and Black River Falls are scheduled to be completed late in 2017.

In 2014 the Ho-Chunk Nation approved the expansion projects for the three locations. In August the projects were given the final approve to proceed with construction.
